My house that I had worked so hard for was about to be foreclosed on and as it was my paychecks were not enough for me to scrape by on. I was driving a car that I bought at a self-financing lot (my credit was SHOT) that was over 20 years old and had to push start it most mornings. As lousy as it ran, I still had to fork over a good deal of money week after week just to be able to keep it. ALL of my possessions, including my furniture and television were all bought on credit. I was so far behind on my payments that none of the credit cards were still active and the calls from the creditors were non-stop. Everything I owned I really didn t own, the creditors did and I was simply waiting for the day that they would knock on the door and come into my home and take my belongings.
